TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS

John Denver

Almost heaven... West Virginia.
Blue ridge montain Shenandoah river..
Life is old there older than the trees..
Younger than the mountains, growin’ like a breeze

* Country roads, take me home ..to the place..,
I belong.. West Virginia.. mountain mama..
Take me home.…country roads

All my memories... gather ‘round her..
Mine’s lady stranger to blue water..
Dark and dusty painted on the sky..
Misty taste of moonshine teardrops in my eyes.
Repeat *
I hear her voice in the morning hour she calls me.
The radio reminds me of my home for away.
And drivin’ down the road I get a feelin’s that I should
Have been home yesterday…yesterday...
Repeat *
Sing it with me
Repeat *
Take me home…down country roads 2x
